Our digipack was designed around the band's colours and fonts using a free template from the internet.

Final Advert

This is the Magazine Advert for our media product that coincides with our Digipack
We decided to keep the overall theme of them both the same using a recurring background texture image and using the same 'Ancient Geek' font that fits very well with our bands star image and helps create a solid brand identity.

We used other adverts for inspiration and to give us an insight on what should be included in a usual magazine advert as you can see from the inclusion of social networking logos and including a website for the product. these things are what are usual of magazine advert as well as the reviews we included on it, from KERRANG! and NME we chose to use these particular magazines to review our product because they are magazines that fit with the genre of music within our music video 'Kerrang' and 'nme' both are rock music magazines so we felt it fit best with our song choice. As well as this we also included the Band, album name and company logo.

This Advert was created through using photoshop and used a range of skills, all of the images used were taken by us in a separate photo shoot so all images are copyright free and originals
the tools used included

• Text tool to create Band and album name using 'Ancient Geek' font to link with digipack
• Magic wand tool to erase any unwanted sections of images that weren't necessary
• Layer opacity's to give an effect that the images are faded into the background texture
• Blending modes to give different and varied effects on blending images into the background texture

Video - Second Rough Cut

This second rough cut has most of the footage added but still with a lot more to be edited in. The complete cut should be expected soon.

We still have a lot more footage to be added to the film, as well as a small amount of footage we need to film or re-film but this is the main lip synching for the video.

Audience Research

Age

This image (taken from YouTube) shows the popularity of the music video from our chosen track on YouTube by age.

This Image confirms that the video and track is most popular with the younger audience, males in particular. Meaning it would make sense to aim our video at the same age group and gender.

Gender
We Sent an online survey to a number of people who listen to enter shikari and this is the gender results we got.

As you can see, the majority of the listeners in our selection were male.

Occupation

In the same survey we asked our audience about their occupation, the results are below.

The image isn't quite clear, but i can tell you that our entire audience base were college students, most of them had a part time job.

Ethnicity

From the same survey, the image below shows that the majority of the fans we found where British (British White)

Music Preferences

One of the most interesting questions we asked in our survey was about peoples music taste. it is interesting because the enter shikari fans had a very mixed music taste, attracting fans from all of the stereotype groups.

Hobbies

Our survey showed that the fans had a variety of hobbies, the most popular being gaming and playing musical instruments.

Enter Shikari's Music

In our survey we asked what attracted them to enter shikari s music. we got a variety of responses. the most popular responses mentioned the catchy 8 bit backing tunes (coded on a computer) and the guitar riffs.

We Also asked what other bands they listen to. The responses were all very different and the audience listened to lots of different bands and genres.

Music Consumption

We asked the audience how they listen to enter shikari's music, the responses can be seen below.

As you can see, the majority of the audience illegally download the songs. however some still buy CDs either from stores or digitally.

Music Video

We asked the audience what they expect to see in a successful enter shikari video. the majority of them said they expect to see strong political messages and messages about the environment so we decided to go with this response and based our video around it.
